What to Wear

Here's a guide to what to wear over the weekend:

Friday night: Shabbat services - personally I'd wear a dress or nice pants (women) - please cover bare shoulders; Men can wear khakis and polo/dress shirt. It will be a small crowd and much more casual than Saturday. Don't sweat it. If just coming to dinner - wear whatever you want.

Saturday services: Women/girls: dress/pants suit. Please cover bare shoulders and avoid micro-minis; Men: jacket/tie or suit.

Saturday night: Dress casually, especially if you plan to climb! And bring socks and sneakers if you think you might climb (even if you want to wear different shoes there).

Sunday brunch: Clothes.

  1. What kind of songs should we bring on Saturday night? I'm considering the Monty Python lumberjack song. Would that be acceptable if I wore sneakers too?

  2. Well, June, I put that in there just to see if anyone read it, and apparently you did! You might want to think of some songs for the bus ride Saturday night, though. The Lumberjack song is a family fave.

  3. Can I wear my micro-mini while rock climbing? Can I wear a microscope?
